Abstract:ObjectiveMisdiagnosed/chronic Achilles tendon injuries are rare and disabling for patients. The surgical treatment of these rare injuries aims to ensure the tendon heals mechanically and biologically. This is the prerequisite for a good clinical and functional outcome and reduces recurrences.
