One-pot synthesis of VO x /Al 2 O 3 as efficient catalysts for propane dehydrogenation

Abstract: Vanadium oxides, as highly efficiently catalysts, are widely applied in various catalytic reactions, such as the dehydrogenation of light alkanes and epoxidation of alkenes. In this paper, a series of VO x /Al 2 O 3 catalysts were fabricated by the 1-pot method for catalytic propane dehydrogenation. The results indicated that the VO x /Al 2 O 3 catalysts with loading of 10 wt.% vanadium exhibited optimized catalytic performance. The as-prepared catalysts were characterized by N 2 adsorption-desorption, XRD, TE… Show more

“…For alkane conversion to light olefins, vanadium‐based catalysts have been reported to achieve high alkane conversion and olefins selectivity in oxidative aided catalysis [8–11] . This is because vanadium possesses variable oxidation states ranging from V 4+ and V 5+ , which makes it an active component in several oxidative catalytic reactions.…”

“…Catalysts such as rhenium oxides [8], MoOx/TiO 2 [9], modified with VO x /TS-1 [10], and V-complex oxides [11,12] showed a good performance in the selective oxidation of methanol. Vanadium oxides, as highly efficiently catalysts, are widely applied in various catalytic reactions, such as the dehydrogenation hydrocarbons [13]. All these catalysts are complex systems, the study of activities of which is difficult due to influence of numerous factors.…”
