Abstract:Synthesis of benzoxazoles via amide formation from amino phenols and α‐diazoesters using dicobalt octacarbonyl as a solid CO source is reported. Our methodology provides a strategy for synthesizing substituted benzoxazoles with methylene linker between the benzoxazole and aromatic ring systems.
