Abstract:We report an efficient and sustainable synthesis of highly substituted pyrimidines promoted by nickel(II)−NNS pincer-type complexes via acceptorless dehydrogenative annulations of readily available alcohols, malononitrile, and guanidine/ benzamidine salt under eco-friendly conditions for the first time.
