One-pot multicomponent green LED photoinduced synthesis of chromeno[4,3-b]chromenes catalyzed by a new nanophotocatalyst histaminium tetrachlorozincate

Abstract: (His.)ZnCl4 nanocatalyst is realized for the preparation of chromenes with a green LED. ˙O2−, OH˙ and h+ are reactive species for this reaction. Complementary tests assured good stability and reusability of the nanophotocatalyst.

“…It is worth mentioning that some reactants are not well-solved in water application in organic transformation is limited. One-pot three-component reaction is the most common procedure for the synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrano [3,2-c]chromenes via the reaction of aldehyde, malononitrile, and cyclohexane-1,3-dione in the presence of organo-catalyst and nanocatalyst [24][25]. Chromene has formed the basic backbone of many polyphenols which are widely found in natural alkaloids and bio-active structures [26].…”

“…Photocatalytic reactions generally used these nanocatalysts (ZnS, ZnO, TiO 2 , CdS and Fe 2 O 3 ) for the treatment of waste water as it carry out the complete mineralization of pollutant [8] . Organic visible light driven photocatalyst are organic compounds commonly, which involve conjugated unsaturated bonds and aromatic rings that holds the irradiation energy with the help of quantum vibrations [14] …”

“…[8] Organic visible light driven photocatalyst are organic compounds commonly, which involve conjugated unsaturated bonds and aromatic rings that holds the irradiation energy with the help of quantum vibrations. [14] Nanomaterials like WO 3 /ZnO/Fe 3 O 4 were prepared and used for the symthesis of compound like 2-substituted benzimidazoles. [15] W-ZnO/NH 2 NPs can also beused for the synthesis of benzimidazoles.…”

“…[25][26][27][28] Up to now, many cost-effective and environmental friendly visible-light photocatalysts with good durability and high reactivity have been disclosed. [29][30][31][32][33] However, the logical design and fabrication of excellent visible-lightresponsive photocatalysts are still a significant challenge in organic synthesis.…”
