One-pot In Situ Microwave Hydrothermally Grown Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8 on ZnIn-Layered Double Oxides toward Enhanced Methylene Blue Photodegradation

Abstract: Zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8)/semiconductor nanocomposites were synthesized by a simple method. The nanocomposites were composed of the in situ grown ZIF-8 and supported ZnIn-layered double oxides (ZnIn-LDOs), in which ZnIn-LDOs were used as a Zn 2+ source to form ZIF-8. The ZnIn-LDOs were formed by calcining the microhydrothermally synthesized ZnIn-layered double hydroxide precursor. The effect of the ZIF-8 amount on the morphology and photocatalytic activity of nanocomposites was studied. The nano… Show more

“…The lattice spacing (Fig. 6B) of 0.263, 0.292, and 0.238nm coincides with ZnO (002) (Liu, Shao et al, 2020), (Liu, Zhai, Hu, Yang, & Liu, 2017). The binding energies at 726.4 eV and 713.5 eV along with their shake-up satellite peak at 719.2 eV are assigned to Fe 2p1/2 and Fe 2p3/2 (Fig.…”
