One loop predictions for the pion VFF in Resonance Chiral Theory

Abstract: A calculation for the one-loop pion vector form-factor in Resonance Chiral Theory is provided in this talk. The amplitude is computed up to next-to-leading order in 1/Nc and, by means of high-energy constraints, we are able to produce a prediction for the corresponding O(p4) Chiral Perturbation Theory low energy constant L9(mu)=(7.6+- 0.6) 10^{-3} at the scale mu=770 MeV.Comment: 6 pages. Talk given at QCD@Work 2010 -International Workshop on QCD: Theory and Experiment-, 20-23 June 2010, Martina Franca, Vall… Show more

“…We would like to note that in this article we have considered for the first time the axialvector-tensor interaction within the Resonance Chiral Theory approach, extending the work of Ecker and Zauner on tensors [40]. We plan to include vector-tensor interactions in a similar way in a future paper [46] dedicated to the study of the e + e − → a 2 π process.…”

“…This article is only a preliminary illustration of our resonance chiral Lagrangian approach. A more thorough numerical analysis is postponed for a future work [45]. In order to obtain a good fit to the BaBar data, we will probably need not only the one-dimensional distributions but also the Dalitz plot.…”

“…In this talk 1 we discuss the results from a previous work on SS-PP correlator [1] together with some new estimates for the OZI suppressed difference of the SU(3) singlet and octet scalar correlators (S 1 S 1 − S 8 S 8 ) [2]. We will work with a chiral invariant action for the chiral pseudo-Goldstones and the meson resonances, namely, resonance chiral theory (RχT) [3,4].…”

“…We will work with a chiral invariant action for the chiral pseudo-Goldstones and the meson resonances, namely, resonance chiral theory (RχT) [3,4]. The large-N C limit and the 1/N C expansion are taken as guiding principles to sort out the different contributions [5], being the leading order (LO) provided by the tree-level diagrams and the meson loops suppressed by 1/N C [5][6][7]. This framework ensures the proper recovery of chiral perturbation theory (χPT) at long distances [8].…”
