On Topological Indices of Certain Dendrimer Structures

Abstract: A topological index can be considered as transformation of chemical structure in to real number. In QSAR/QSPR study, physicochemical properties and topological indices such as Randić, Zagreb, atom-bond connectivity ABC, and geometric-arithmetic GA index are used to predict the bioactivity of chemical compounds. Dendrimers are highly branched, star-shaped macromolecules with nanometer-scale dimensions. Dendrimers are defined by three components: a central core, an interior dendritic structure (the branches), an… Show more

“…In this paper, we considered two biodegradable dendrimers, namely (1) a fourth-generation poly(amidoamine) dendrimer ( Figure 1) and 2, a dendrimer based on glycerol and succinic acid (Figure 2), and both are used for cancer therapy. The edge partitions of these dendrimers are constructed by the methods used in the work of Kang [Kang et al, 2018] and Aslam [Aslam et al, 2017].…”

“…Some major types of topological indices of graphs are degree-based, distance-based, and counting-related. Some degree-based topological indices have been computed for some classes of dendrimers, see for instance [16][17][18]. For a study of distance-based topological indices, see [19][20][21].…”
