As recessões gengivais consistem na migração do tecido marginal em direção apical, causando insatisfação com a estética dental, além de hipersensibilidade dentinária. As cirurgias plásticas periodontais por meio do recobrimento radicular têm como meta reduzir esses incômodos. O objetivo desse estudo é apresentar um relato de caso de recobrimento radicular de recessões gengivais em dentes posteriores pela técnica de retalho reposicionado coronalmente de Zucchelli e De Sanctis associada ao enxerto de tecido conjuntivo subepitelial para obtenção de mucosa queratinizada. Paciente 35 anos, gênero feminino, normosistêmica compareceu à clínica de periodontia da Universidade Nilton Lins relatando hipersensibilidade dentinária e insatisfação com a estética dos dentes posteriores. O tratamento foi iniciado por procedimentos periodontais básicos e correção do fator causal. A etapa cirúrgica iniciou-se com incisão e retalho em envelope para remoção do tecido conjuntivo subepitelial da área doadora de palato e enxertado no leito receptor com estabilização por meio de sutura em colchoeiro. A cirurgia ocorreu sem intercorrências, após 15 dias foram removidas as suturas e observou-se que a cicatrização ocorreu de maneira satisfatória, na sessão seguinte foram realizadas 2 sessões de laserterapia para controle da dor. Após três meses observou-se completa cicatrização, aumento de tecido queratinizado e adaptação cervical. Portanto, na técnica cirúrgica empregada foi possível observar o recobrimento parcial da recessão, assim como o aumento de tecido queratinizado na região, com um resultado estético satisfatório e melhora na função com a diminuição da hipersensibilidade dentinaria.
