On the use of the energy probability distribution zeros in the study of phase transitions

Abstract: This contribution is devoted to cover some technical aspects related to the use of the recently proposed energy probability distribution zeros in the study of phase transitions. This method is based on the partial knowledge of the partition function zeros and has been shown to be extremely efficient to precisely locate phase transition temperatures. It is based on an iterative method in such a way that the transition temperature can be approached at will. The iterative method will be detailed and some converge… Show more

“…By using a method based on the zeros of the energy probability distribution (EPD) 31,33,34 , the transition temperature for periodic boundary conditions was obtained (T * c = 0.671(1)D/k B ). In this case, a single phase transition between the ordered ground state and a paramagnetic state was found, and only above the transi-tion temperature the density of monopoles increase considerably.…”
