The importance of environmental education needs to be integrated with science learning related to zero waste topics. Environmental topics related to zero waste need to be understood by early childhood pre-service teachers because teachers are an important subject in providing understanding to young children regarding the environment. This research aims to describe environmental knowledge and zero waste behavior in early childhood pre-service teachers. The method used in this research is a descriptive method through data collection techniques using surveys. The instruments used in this research were 2 types, namely test questions used to measure environmental knowledge and questionnaires used to measure zero waste behavior. The results of this research show that the average zero waste knowledge score of early childhood pre-service teachers is still in the very low category (32.87). The average zero waste behavior score for early childhood pre-service teachers is in the moderate category (65.83). The results of this research show how important environmental education related to zero waste is integrated with science education. The recommendation from this research is to be able to develop media that can be integrated into zero-waste learning.

Pengaruh biospheric, altruistic, dan egoistic terhadap perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan mencerminkan sikap ekologis individu dalam memahami dan merespons isu-isu lingkungan. Diperlukan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan mendorong tindakan berkelanjutan dalam perilaku konsumsi, sehingga mendukung upaya perlindungan lingkungan secara lebih luas. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menganalisis sikap ekologis pada pengaruh biospheric, altruistic, egoistic terhadap perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan. Metode penelitian ini ialah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan inferensial. Populasi penelitian ini ialah semua orang yang berinteraksi dengan lingkungan dan melakukan pembelian. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 220 responden berdasarkan perhitungan Ferdinand. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Non Probability Sampling yaitu Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer untuk pembuatannya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan Smart Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian ini ialah Biospheric, Altruistic, Egoistic dan Sikap ekologis berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan. Altruistic berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan. Biospheric, Altruistic, Egoistic berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada sikap ekologis. Sikap ekologis memediasi pengaruh biospheric pada perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan. Sikap ekologis memediasi pengaruh altruistic pada perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan. Background The worldwide ecological crisis, including global climate change, is leading to increased awareness and attitudes towards environmental problems. To address these problems, studies of human attitudes are needed. This study is based on the 2-Major Environmental Values (2-MEV) model, which measures two components of environmental attitudes: Preservation and Utilization. The model has been applied to both, adolescents and adults. After decades of use, it is necessary to review the psychometric scale and update the wording. Developing short or even super-short scales to measure well-established constructs is necessary due to time constraints, compliance or fatigue due to language issues. Methods We applied an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to a dataset containing 20 items from the 2-MEV model to reduce the scale to 6 items, 3 per dimension using parallel analysis, scree plot examination and eigen-value greater than 0 as criteria. The scale was then applied to adults and the sample was split for EFA and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA) was then used to assess invariance across age and gender. Finally, regression and linear models were used to examine the effects of age and gender in both, adults and adolescents. Results The 2-MEV model was replicated in the EFA and CFA and the correlated two-factor model showed the best fit. The scale showed configural and metric invariance across age and gender, and scale invariance across gender. Gender and age effects were replicated in relation to previous studies. Discussion The brief scale showed good model indices and convergent validity. Implications The brief scale of the 2-MEV model can be applied in situations where environmental attitudes are important, but time constraints (internet surveys), compliance, or language problems may hinder the use of longer scales.
