Abstract: Summary This study explores the performance and scaling of a GMRES Krylov method employed as a smoother for an algebraic multigrid preconditioned Newton‐Krylov solution approach applied to a fully implicit variational multiscale finite element resistive magnetohydrodynamics formulation.
