Abstract:In this manuscript we study the counting problem for harmonic trinomials of the form aζ n + bζ m + c = 0, where n, m ∈ N, n > m, and a, b and c are non-zero complex numbers. As a consequence, we obtain the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra and the Wilmshurst conjecture for harmonic trinomials. The proof of the counting problem relies on the Bohl method introduced in [1].

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
