On the networking synthesis of studio factors to the integration of design pedagogy

Abstract: Studio is critically important for design education, but few attempts have been made to demonstrate the parallels between studio factors and design performance. This paper adopts a coherent set of analyses to investigate the major studio factors and attempts to quantify the networking interactions among them. First, it describes how architectural studio is usually organised based on some major factors. Next, a theoretical model is established according to the described hypotheses and their mutual interactions.… Show more

“…(2014) indicated that the design studio in this early period was not the same as the design studio now, and the student presence, the number of design courses, and the relationship between tutors and architecture students were not the same as the current design studio 10 . In ADS, the success of architecture students is examined 11 , the effect of the student's creative, cognitive and visual abilities on their performance in the studio are investigated 12 . Overall, the ADS development has been used as a tool to improve the architectural design process.…”

“…The students' scores were addressed in the design studio and studied, and it was taken as a criterion for determining the competence of architecture students in the design studio 59 . Most architecture instructors tend to think that the final grades are a main indicator for measuring the progress of students 60 , and from this stems the importance of the current study.…”
