On the near field behavior of inclined negatively buoyant jets

Abstract: Abstract.We have performed an experimental campaign in the laboratory on the near field behavior of inclined negatively buoyant jets, issuing from a circular sharp-edged orifice, in order to investigate the symmetry properties of this phenomenon. The velocity measurements were obtained via a non intrusive image analysis technique, namely Feature Tracking Velocimetry.
