On the magnetic behaviour of some hydrogen bonded molecules in crystals

Abstract: The effect of the hydrogen bonding on the magnetic anisotropy of o-halogenobenzoic acids and some derivatives of phenol, namely 2-aminophenol, 2,3-dimethylphenol and 2-methyl-3-bromophenol, is studied. These molecules are of known crystal structures. The crystal susceptibilities (Xl, X2 and Xa) of each compound were measured.
