Abstract:The low-frequency modal and non-modal linear dynamics of an incompressible, pressure-gradient-induced turbulent separation bubble (TSB) are investigated, with the objective of studying the mechanism responsible for the low-frequency contraction and expansion (breathing) commonly observed in experimental studies.
