Aggregation behavior of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and the cationic surfactant dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride (DTAC) has been studied by conductivity measurement in aqueous/urea/NaCl medium. The deviation of experimentally executed critical micelle concentration (cmc) from their respective ideal values (cmc id ) signifies the interaction between the studied surfactants. The experiments were performed at different temperatures in order to estimate different thermodynamic parameters. The negative values of Gibbs free energy (ΔG m o ) point out the feasibility of the micellization behavior of the mixed systems as well as validate the feasibility of SDS-DTAC interactions. The micellar mole fraction (X 1 ) and the activity coefficients ( f 1 and f 2 ) on the basis of different proposed model (Rubingh, Motomura, & Rodenas) andideal mole fraction (X id ) were estimated, and obtained results illustrate the high contribution of DTAC in the mixed micellization, which exacerbates with the increase of the mole fraction of the DTAC. The interaction parameter (β) has also been investigated to get detailed insights of the interactions between the surfactants by concerning theoretical model proposed by Rubingh. The ΔG ex values were attained to be negative at all α 1 and temperatures, showing that mixed micelles are more stable than micelles of individual surfactants.

Supposing that one is already familiar with special relativistic physics, what constitutes the best route via which to arrive at the architecture of the general theory of relativity? Although the later Einstein would stress the significance of mathematical and theoretical principles in answering this question, in this article we follow the lead of the earlier Einstein (circa 1916) and stress instead how one can go a long way to arriving at the general theory via inductive and empirical principles, without invoking presumptions concerning the geometrical structure of the final theory. We focus on the construction of the kinematical structure and the terms describing the coupling of matter to gravity. General covariance, understood and employed as a straightforward extrapolation of empirical considerations, is central to our derivation, together with what we dub the 'Methodological Equivalence Principle'. We argue that our approach has a number of virtues, both for one's understanding of the general theory of relativity, but also for pedagogy, since it stresses-to the greatest extent possible (a lesson which we inherit from Bell [1976])-both the methodological precedence of dynamical considerations to interpretative issues and the theoretical continuity between general relativity and its precursors. We conclude by comparing our approach to other philosophical approaches to general relativity and discussing the significance of empirically motivated methodological principles in the philosophy of science.

An Analysis of the Concept of Inertial Frame

The concept of inertial frame of reference is analysed. It has been shown that this fundamental concept of physics is not clear enough. A definition of inertial frame of reference is proposed which expresses its key inherent property. The definition is operational and powerful. Many other properties of inertial frames follow from the definition or it makes them plausible. In particular, the definition shows why physical laws obey space and time symmetries and the principle of relativity, it resolves the problem of clock synchronization and the role of light in it, as well as the problem of the geometry of inertial frames.
