On the improvement of the teaching quality and learning effectiveness in the computer organization course through FPGA and modular centered microcomputer design

Abstract: This manuscript focuses on the results of a project study on the field programmable gate array (FPGA) and modular based microcomputer architecture design for improving the teaching and learning effectiveness in computer organization course and similar courses. The design mentioned in this manuscript is a unique system allowing to students to directly write their program and/or include their own designs. The main objective of this study is to improve the teaching effectiveness in the computer organization cours… Show more

“…The double reduction is a collaborative process of in-school and out-of-school governance, with out-of-school focusing on eliminating the chaos of out-of-school training and reducing the excessive burden of out-of-school training on students [1][2]. In-school advocates the return of the ontological value of school moral education, requiring further improvement in the quality of school education and services, more scientific and reasonable assignment, after-school school services to meet students' needs basically, and better return of student learning to campus [3][4][5]. Active discussion of all subjects' teaching, research, and subject groups occurs in the context of double reduction.…”

“…Students have the opportunity to write their own programs with assembly commands using the text‐based user interface of the system. For more detailed information, the reader should read the relevant studies [29]. For the implementation of the floating‐point unit in this paper, the instructions given in Table 2, among the 59 commands of the system, were used.…”
