Mössbauer measurements of the ironorganic polymer [Fe(bipy)ox1.1]n are performed a t 295 and 4.2 K. Theoretical spectra are calculated using a semiclassical spin‐Hamiltonian in the fitting procedure. Iron is submitted in three several states. Two of the three subspectra show magnetic splitting at 4.2 K. This refers to long range order, because a very slowly relaxing paramagnet would be represented by another shape of the spectrum.
