On the Effect of Iodide and Acids in the Metolachlor Process

Abstract: Iridium-catalyzed asymmetric imine hydrogenation is the key step in the industrial syntheses of dextromethorphan and metolachlor. Nevertheless, the mechanism of this reaction relying on ferrocenyldiphosphine ligands remains unclear.
