On the Edges Version of Atom-Bond Connectivity Index of Nanotubes

Topological indices are graph invariants computed by the distance or degree of vertices of the molecular graph. In chemical graph theory, topological indices have been successfully used in describing the structures and predicting certain physicochemical properties of chemical compounds. In this paper, we propose a definition of generalized bridge molecular graphs that can model more kinds of long chain polymerization products than the bridge molecular graphs, and provide some results of the edge versions of atom-bond connectivity ( A B C e ) and geometric arithmetic ( G A e ) indices for some generalized bridge molecular graphs, which have regular, periodic and symmetrical structures. The results of this paper offer promising prospects in the applications for chemical and material engineering, especially in chemical industry research.

Molecular topological indices are quantitative measurements that only take into account the topology of a compound’s molecular graph, disregarding any knowledge of the atom locations or chemical connections. An allotrope of carbon called graphene is composed of a single layer of atoms set up in a hexagonal lattice nanostructure. A single layer of carbon atoms organized in a honeycomb pattern make up the two-dimensional substance known as graphene. Graphene possesses significant inherent qualities like strong strength and great thermal and electrical conductivity. It is a sustainable substance with practically countless eco-friendly applications. In this study, we calculate the R molecular topological indices, S molecular topological indices, and Van molecular topological indices of graphene structure, taking into account all conceivable combinations of the number of rows and hexagons. There are high correlations between R, S Van index values and neighbourhood-based entropy values of graphene. This shows that these new indices can be used in QSPR/QSAR studies in chemistry and physics.

Dendrimers are spherical three-dimensional molecules with a repetitively branching core. They are normally symmetric around the core. Bismuth (III) iodide has the formula B i I 3 and is an inorganic chemical. The reaction between bismuth and iodine produces this gray-black solid, which was of great interest in qualitative inorganic analysis. Mathematical chemistry is an area of mathematics that employs mathematical methods to tackle chemical-related problems. One of these tools is a graphical representation of chemical molecules, known as the molecular graph of a chemical substance. A topological index (TI) is a mathematical function that assigns a numerical value to a (molecular) graph and predicts many physical, chemical, biological, thermodynamical, and structural features of that network. In this work, we will calculate a new topological index, namely, Sombor index, multiplicative Sombor index, and its reduced version for bismuth (III) iodide and dendrimers. We also plot our computed results of Sombor index, multiplicative Sombor index, and reduced Sombor index to examine how they were affected by the parameters involved.
