“…A sharp transition observed in the diamagnetic signal with the increased Zn substitution has suggested enhanced phase purity in the final compound [12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]. The increase in the volume fraction of superconductivity is most likely linked with the enhancement in the coherence length along the c-axis and homogeneous distribution of carriers in various conducting planes [29,30,[38][39][40]. Our results strongly suggested that the charge carriers in the conducting CuO 2 /ZnO 2 planes play a decisive role in the mechanism of superconductivity in Cu 0.5 Tl 0.5 Ba 2 Ca 2 Cu 3− y Zn y O 10−δ superconductors and these carriers are supplied by the ratio of Cu +2 /Tl +3 and oxygen content in the Cu 0.5 Tl 0.5 Ba 2 O 4−δ charge reservoir layers [19,20].…”
