On the Computation of a Minimum Phase Factor

Abstract

An optimal approach to perform a minimum phase transformation is proposed. As an application a Chebyshev minimum phase filter is designed. Results are presented to show that residual errors are only limited by the finite machine resolution, and 4 orders or magnitude better than current state-of-the-art methodology.
