On the authorship of Austromegabalanus psittacus (Molina)

Abstract: Austromegabalanus psittacus is a large, common and economically important shoreline barnacle species of the west coast of South America. It was originally described by Juan Ignacio Molina as Lepas psittacus, but some confusion has arisen as to the exact reference to and year of publication of this species.
