On some approaches to model reversible magnetization processes

Abstract: This paper focuses on the problem of how reversible magnetization processes are taken into account in contemporary descriptions of hysteresis curves. For comparison, three versions of the phenomenological T(x) model based on hyperbolic tangent mapping are considered. Two of them are based on summing the output of the hysteresis operator with a linear or nonlinear mapping. The third description is inspired by the concept of the product Preisach model. Total susceptibility is modulated with a magnetization-depen… Show more

“…In ferroresonance investigation, the shape of hysteresis curve significantly influences the ferroresonance phenomenon [45,46]. This is true not only for the major loop, but also in relation to various minor loops [47]. These are often ignored, e.g., in many computational programs.…”

“…For the presented current waveforms, the computed value is ε = 0.04%. In future investigations, the model can be studied from the viewpoint of its dynamic behavior, as this is important for ferroresonance analyses [10,47]. However, because of the Fig.…”

“…The nonlinear coil is a crucial element of each ferroresonant circuit. The shape of a hysteresis curve significantly influences the ferroresonance phenomenon [6,7]. Diagnostic of the test circuit coil was performed over a full range of supply voltage.…”
