On Self-Interference Cancellation and Non-Idealities Suppression in Full-Duplex Radio Transceivers

Abstract: One of the major impediments in the design and operation of a full-duplex radio transceiver is the presence of self-interference (SI), that is, the transceiver’s transmitted signal, 60–100 dB stronger than the desired signal of interest. To reduce the SI signal below the receiver’s sensitivity before coupling it to the receiver, radio frequency (RF)/analog domain cancellation is carried out. Even after SI cancellation to the required level in the analog domain, the residual SI signal still exits and lowers the… Show more

“…One type is a big hall, while the other is a small hall. The details about area and base station deployment in both arenas are described in Table 2: According to 3GPP Release 16 [39], the total area inhabited by one big hall of InF is 300 by 150 m 2 . Each big gallery contains eighteen base stations.…”

“…According to 3GPP Release 16 [39], the total area inhabited by one small hall of InF is apart, and their height is 1.5 m and 8 m for InF-DL and InF-SH. The deployment of DMBS within the hall is illustrated in Figure 2.…”

“…The gain, G, of TCC-CS of the transconductance stage is expressed in Equation (2) and the calculated result of G versus the varator capacitance is shown in Figure 11. Equation (2) shows that the TCC-CS along with stabilization also enhances the gain of the designed mixer. The device sizes of the designed mixer are shown in Table 1.…”

“…Low power, low voltage and highly linear RF circuits attract considerable attention in regard to prolonging the battery life of communication systems. The 5G system is becoming a necessity in wireless communication [1,2]. Existing technologies, including LTE and 4G mobile communications, cannot satisfy the increasing demands for a fast data rate, low latency and larger capacity.…”

“…This makes high access inertness as PU may begin the transmission whenever possible and can identify the nearness of PU more rapidly. Ayesha et al [17] and Ayesha et al [18] have described the alternative approaches of simultaneously sensing and transmission, using SRS for improving the trade-off between sensing the spectrum and SU throughput.…”
