On selected changes in the paradigm of research on rural development and food security

Abstract

Under the influence of a variety of exogenous and endogenous factors, economic phenomena, as well as economic mechanisms, are constantly changing and transforming, characterized by a noticeable diversity. Various changes are taking place in almost all spheres of the real sector of the economy, including the sphere of agro-food supply of the country's population and the development of rural areas. Processes of this kind entail the need to change the research paradigm of both food security and the development of non-urban (rural) multifunctional territories, and its adaptation to the ongoing processes. This article is devoted to these problems.
