On Peculiarities of Influence of Chemical Composition on Formation of Structure and Properties of Alloyed Cast Irons in the As-Cast State

Abstract: We conducted a study of the structure, phase composition and wear resistance of iron-carbon alloys used and planned to be used in manufacture of hot deformation tools. As established, chromium-manganese cast iron with chromium content of 12.5…13.5% and manganese content of 15.0…16.0% is advisable to be used as a material, in particular, for piercing mandrels.
