On new emerging concepts of petroleum digital ecosystem

Abstract: Petroleum‐bearing sedimentary basin is an emerging digital ecosystem. Petroleum system and its elements are narrated for each and every oil and gas field in each and every petroleum‐bearing sedimentary basin. A new concept of ecosystem and its digitization are emerging within the generic petroleum system. The Significance of this concept comes with an ability to establish connectivity among petroleum subsystems, for example, Albertine Graben (Western Uganda), through attributes of their components and their co… Show more

“…Key idea is to interpret all multiple dimensions among multiple sources, providing much descriptive semantic information, when it has conflict among terms of attributes of multiple domain ontologies. For example, relationships among multiple attributes are conceptualized and contextualized in a way all the attributes are communicative and interactive [28]. Common ontologies of structure (geological), reservoir, source, and seal attributes are constructed from multiple petroleum systems, in which semantics and schematic conflicts are set to be resolved.…”

“…1, there may be many bench systems associated with opencast and geomorphic systems, in which a sustainable management is needed through increased understanding of the systems' connectivity in geographically spread unstructured data sources. For exploring the systems' connectivity, the domain ontologies (Aitken andReid, 2000 andNimmagadda andDreher, 2012) are built with likely development of an ontology-based data warehouse repository, an integrated approach. Various surveys-mines-permits' data sources are considered in the multidimensional modelling process.…”
