On coming back, the scaring COVID‐19 concern. Addressing indoor microclimates with innovative and straightforward solutions to prevent SARS‐CoV2 spreading

Abstract

To the Editor, Some recent news in mainstream media about new SARS-CoV2 variants of concern 1 may be felt as a nagging warning if, as reported in some Editorials in leading, highly impacted scientific journals, someone is still afraid that "COVID is on the rise again." 2 COVID-19 concern, with its scaring perspective, is either coming back or has never faded off; probably the meaning is the same, yet people are compelled again to rescue their own awareness and scares to address any new forecast epidemic wave and any consequent averted social restriction. 2In the meantime, politicians did not arrange any good approach to allow people to live in a safe context, aside from vaccination. SARS-CoV2 is spread via airborne pollutants, even particulate matter PM 2.5 and PM 10 , so, at least in indoor spaces, where people work or study, solutions to reduce the presence of these particles may be particularly crucial. Particulate matters, that is, PM 2.5 and PM 10 , are terms used to refer to particles in the air that have a specific size range. PM 2.5 (Particulate Matter 2.5) refers to fine particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 μm or smaller coming from combustion processes (e.g., vehicle exhaust and industrial emissions), dust, and chemical reactions in the atmosphere. PM 10 (Particulate Matter 10) refers to inhalable coarse particles with a diameter of 10 μm or smaller. These particles are larger than PM 2.5 , but they can still be inhaled into the respiratory system and can include road dust, airborne pollutants from construction activities, agricultural operations, and some industrial processes. Particulate matter in polluted air can spread SARS-CoV2, as these particles are considered as SARS-CoV2 carriers, 3,4 and their removal from indoor spaces is particularly challenging to reduce SARS-CoV2 spreading in human communities.In this warning stage for preventing new pandemics, besides the wise recommendation to undergo anti-COVID-19 vaccination if elderly or immune-compromised, people try to neglect any alarming news and rely on the huge mass of disinformation concerning COVID-19, to be simply reassured by optimistic, easy-to-do perspectives. 5 Actually, SARS-CoV2 underwent an endemic phase
