On-Chip Pure χ(3) Parametrically-Driven Temporal Cavity Solitons

Abstract

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that a bichromatic degenerate Kerr optical parametric oscillator can parametrically-drive bi-phase temporal cavity solitons. Our experiments are performed in Si3N4 microresonators and constitute the first observation of such dissipative solitons.
