On Application of Overset/Chimera Method for Flow Approximation Over a Vibrating Body Using Openfoam

Abstract: The subject of this contribution is the numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction problems with aid of overset method. The numerical simulation is based on the finite volume method and the arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian method is used. Numerical results obtained by the open-source code OpenFOAM for approximation of the flow around both static and oscillating circular cylinder and oscillating NACA 0012 profile are shown.
