Offset tripatch microstrip antenna

Abstract: Aperture‐coupled offset dual‐patch antenna with a SWR bandwidth of 38% has been demonstrated recently [1]. The possibility of further improvement in bandwidth by adding one more parasitic patch is investigated experimentally. It is found that a SWR bandwidth of 48% can be achieved but the gain varies significantly over the passband. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
