IZVOD U radu je opisan proces reciklaže otpadnog papira. Poseban akcenat je stavljen na opis tehnoloških faza (dezintegracija ili mlevenje, prosejavanje, prečišćavanje, pranje i/ili flotacija, tretman voda i odlaganje mulja), koje su generalno neophodne u procesu prerade otpadnog papira, a koje takođe predstavljaju i osnovne faze procesa pripreme mineralnih sirovina. S obzirom da papir kao potencijalna sekundarna sirovina zbog degradacije fizičkih karakteristika celuloze koje nastaju tokom procesa prerade, može se reciklirati ograničen broj puta, u radu je data i analiza uticaja mehaničkog i hemijskog tretmana na poboljšanje kvaliteta vlakana sekundarne celuloze. Ključne reči celuloza, otpadni papir, reciklaža, mehanički tretman, hemijski tretman ABSTRACT This paper describes the waste paper recycling process. Special emphasis is placed on the description of technological phase (disintegration or grinding, screening, cleaning, washing and/or flotation, water treatment and disposal of sludge), which are generally required in the processing of waste paper, and which also represent the main phases in the mineral processing. The waste paper is a potential secondary raw materials but due to degradation of cellulose physical properties which occur during the recycling, the cellulose fibers can be recycled a limited number of times. Because of this, the impact analysis of mechanical and chemical treatment on the secondary fiber quality is also given in the paper.

Enzymes can be applied for the deinking of wastepaper for the recovery of secondary fibers. Mainly cellulases and hemicellulases have been utilized for the deinking of different types of newsprint and office waste papers. Ink removal efficiencies and brightness gains have been reported in several cases to be equal or superior to conventional chemical deinking procedures. Paper printed with vegetable oil based inks could be deinked efficiently in a deinking procedure including a neutral deinking chemical in combination with lipase, cellulase and xylanase. Treatment with lipase resulted in a higher decrease of residual ink area and dirt count compared to treatments with a combination of the enzymes which gave the highest increase in brightness of the deinked paper.Worldwide, paper production has increased over the last ten years by 4% annually and is projected to further increase by 2% per year until year 2000 to about 300 million tons. Recycled paper will by then contribute more than 40% of the raw material supply for paper making while in the U.S., Japan and Germany, the recovery rates are expected to be well above 50%. Utilization of the secondary fiber from recycled paper requires effective removal of impurities including the printing inks in a deinking process. The printing inks are removed from the fibers using chemical and mechanical treatment to displace ink particles from the surface of the fibers. Conventional deinking chemicals can have a negative impact on both the environment and the quality of the recycled paper. On the other hand, treatments with enzymes have been shown to be effective in assisting or replacing the chemical deinking processes in addition to improving paper quality such as strength and dewatering properties (/). The ease with which the ink can be removed from the fibers is influenced by the type of inks and drying method used, the printing process and the age of the paper.The ecological and qualitative demands on ink products have resulted in a continuous development of more environmentally friendly products. The Deinkability Improvement of Offset Prints Made from a Two-Side Coated Substrate

This paper describes the improved removal of impurities (coating, ink/toner) from offset prints produced by digital printing of two-side coated paper. The substrates were printed by conventional and digital offset processes. Based on image analysis results it was established that deinking flotation is an inefficient method for ink particle removal from digital offset printed paper, but it is efficient for ink removal from conventional offset printed paper. On the other hand, pre-treatment with hydrogen peroxide solution gives better results for ink particle removal from digital offset prints than from conventional offset prints. Optimal parameters for hydrogen peroxide pre-treatment for both offset prints were chosen based on unprinted substrate mass loss results in the preliminary investigation. These results showed that hydrogen peroxide pre-treatment is more successful at removal of impurities in comparison with flotation deinking without pre-treatment.
