“…Worldwide, 6256 species in 686 genera of odonates have been reported, of which India known to represent 488 species, 27 subspecies in 152 genera under 18 families (Subramanian & Babu, 2017). Some of the noticeable works on Odonata fauna of Odisha were carried out by Laidlaw (1915), Fraser and Dover (1922), Srivastava and Das (1987), Prasad and Ghosh (1988), Mitra (2000Mitra ( , 2002, Sethy and Siddiqui (2007), Das et al (2010Das et al ( , 2012, Nair (2011), Debata et al (2013), Sajan and Mohapatra (2013), Kalita et al (2014), Nair and Subramanian (2014), Payra et al (2014Payra et al ( , 2019, Boruah et al (2015), Palita et al (2016), Debata and Swain (2018). These studies contributed signifi cant information on the status and distribution of Odonata species in diff erent parts of Odisha. The present paper reports a detailed survey and updated list of dragonfl ies and damselfl ies from Athgarh Forest Division, with newly recorded species from Odisha state, India.…”
