Ocular Trauma in War Games

Abstract: In brief: War games-a new and increasingly popular form of recreation that combines sports and military activity-are resulting in serious eye injuries. The 13 cases discussed in this paper represent 6% of all sports-related eye injuries reported in Quebec in 1984. None of the victims was wearing goggles or other facial protection when the injury occurred. Types of injuries include hyphema, vitreous hemorrhage, and cataract.
