Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the composition and occurrence of potentially toxic and harmful species of thecate dinoflagellates in cultured shellfish, located at Armação do Itapocorói (AI) and Praia Alegre (PA) in the municipality of Penha, SC -Brazil.
