Ocean Tide Loading Displacement Parameters Estimated From GNSS-Derived Coordinate Time Series Considering the Effect of Mass Loading in Hong Kong

Abstract: In order to analyze the influence of mass loading (atmospheric loading (ATML), hydrological loading (HYDL), non-tidal ocean loading (NTOL)) on estimating ocean tide loading displacement (OTLD) parameters by GNSS, the kinematic precise point positioning (PPP) technique is used to process the GNSS data in Hong Kong to obtain coordinate time series. The three-dimensional OTLD parameters of eight principal constituents (M2, S2, N2, K2, K1, O1, P1, Q1) are estimated using harmonic analysis method from the coordinat… Show more

“…GNNS time-series have also been applied in models to remove the influence of non-OTL from GPS coordinates [285]. In this regard, the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique is used to process the GNSS-R data [286]. OT can cause horizontal and vertical motions of more than a centimeter during a day, which is large enough to be measured with space geodetic techniques.…”

“…The authors are with Radar Research Lab, School of Information and Electronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing 10081, China and (GNSS) network [2]. Although the tidal force on the lunar surface due to the Earth is about 20 times larger than the tidal force on the Earth due to the Moon, the lunar tidal deformation is more difficult to detect because the moon is solid except for its small core [3].…”
