Abstract: Pancreatic disease in horses is rare and diagnosis is difficult due to lack of available diagnostic tests. Acute pancreatitis is associated with acute colic signs and gastrointestinal reflux; chronic pancreatitis with weight loss, anorexia, lethargy, and mild recurrent colic symptoms.
