“…Prt polypeptides in isolate 35 from Ontario were similar to those of isolate 213 from Alberta; both isolates were collected in 1983. Although leaf rust isolates from Ontario and Alberta represent two distinct populations (Samborski 1980), the polypeptide patterns do not appear to be associated with the geographical separation of these leaf rust populations. Only the presence of prt polypeptides 4 and 7 was related to origin in the very limited sample analyzed.…”
