“…The best understanding regarding the behavior of pharmaceuticals in surface water and their impact on the environment was documented by Costanzo et al [3], Peake and Braund [4], Jobling et al [5], and Deo and Halden [6]. Petrie et al [7] and Vymazal et al [8,9] dealt with the occurrence of pharmaceuticals in wastewater treatment plants and in constructed wetlands.
