Abstract:Occult hepatitis C virus infection (OCI) is broadly described as the presence of HCV-RNA in hepatocytes and/or peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in individuals who are HCV-RNA negative in serum by traditional diagnostic techniques.
