Abstract:In this article, the chemical and mineralogical composition of the local quartz sands of Surkhandarya region was initially determined by the method of X-ray phase analysis. The sand was then washed and dried several times in distilled water for enrichment. The resulting clean sand was crushed, sifted and returned with magnesium at temperatures of 600–1800°C at intervals of 2–10 hours, technical Silicon (93%-94%) was obtained.
