Abstract: Brazil is the world's largest producer of orange juice, generating a large amount of waste that could be used as a substrate by microorganisms, adding value to what would otherwise be discarded. Bacillus atrophaeus, they are bacteria of great interest in the pharmaceutical, hospital and industrial areas.
