Obtaining a Well-Aligned ZnO Nanotube Array Using the Hydrothermal Growth Method / Labi Sakārtotu Zno Nanocauruļu Kopu Iegūšana, Izmantojot Hidrotermālo Metodi

Abstract: Optimal growing parameters have been found using the hydrothermal method to obtain well-aligned vertical ZnO nanorod and nanotube arrays. The influence of different growing factors (such as temperature, growing solution concentration, method of obtaining seed layer and condition) on nanotube morphology and size is described in the paper.Well-structured ZnO nanotubes have been obtained by using a selfselective etching method with lowering temperatures of growth during the hydrothermal process. It is shown that t… Show more

“…Previous research [13] shows that one of the most optimal methods for obtaining the seed layer is growing from zinc acetate ethanol solution. Acetate-delivered seed layer provides good crystallinity and orientation along z-direction, and only acetate seed provides needle-like nanorod with sufficiently large diameter for further transformation into nanotubes during a two-step hydrothermal growth process.…”

“…In addition, the cylinders were replaced to 3 mm metal discs as shown [54], that allows to reduce required volume of the analyte solution for performing the PCR products' analysis up to 3 µL. mechanism of the process is described in [55][56][57][58][59]. After that, the discs were cooled to room temperature, were washed with distilled water, dried and were put in a vacuum chamber, where they were stored until the experiments.…”

“…Also the purpose of our previous research was to identify optimal growth parameters for obtaining a homogeneous, dense, well-aligned nanostructured ZnO coating with good adhesion to hard surfaces. The results of the experiments are displayed and summarized in previously published articles [ 15 18 ].…”
