Obtaining a Generalized Index of Bank Competitiveness Using a Fuzzy Approach

Abstract: The article is devoted to developing a definition of the indicator of the bank’s competitiveness which based on the theory of fuzzy sets and neural networks techniques. Uncertainties that have a place when considering and analyzing the components of evaluating the success and effectiveness of the bank have been considered and analyzed. The sequence of construction and structure for generalizing parameter of bank competitiveness are presented and grounded. Stages of obtaining an integrated assessment of bank co… Show more

“…The aim of the article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the money laundering risk of financial institutions. The authors propose to implement mathematical tools using the methods of data mining (Alimuddin et al, 2020), gravitational modeling (Stavytskyy et al, 2019), multidimensional statistical analysis (Faria et al, 2020;Malyarets et al, 2019), bifurcation models of nonlinear dynamic systems (Dvorsky et al, 2020;Lyeonov et al, 2019).…”

“…Within the first stage, the input statistical base of the study is formed and the multicollinearity of the input indicators is further verified by applying correlation analysis. The latter will allow excluding those indicators that can be neglected and, thus, simplify the calculations (Kozmenko & Roienko, 2013;Malyarets et al, 2019). The relevance of a reasonable determination of each of the characteristics of the process under study is associated with obtaining adequate results (Bublyk et al, 2017).…”

“…The fact that competition is a complex concept and therefore cannot be directly observed has led to the development of many approaches to its assessment [19]. To a large extent, assessment of the competition in the banking industry has a long tradition.…”
