Abstract: Introduction: Sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis is a chronic inflammation of the peritoneum characterized by the progressive accumulation of collagen. This leads to a thickening of the peritoneum, encapsulating loops of small bowel and causing intestinal obstruction.
