Observer-Based Decentralized Tracking Control with Preview Action for a Class of Nonlinear Interconnected Systems

Abstract: In this paper, for the first time, the observer-based decentralized output tracking control problem with preview action for a class of interconnected nonlinear systems is converted into a regulation problem for N augmented error subsystems composed of the tracking error dynamics, the difference equation of the state observer, and the available future reference trajectory dynamics associated with each individual subsystem. The developed innovative formulation of an observer-based decentralized preview tracking … Show more

“…On the other hand, state estimation of dynamic systems is very important in various control problems, such as fault detection and tracking and state-based control (Li et al, 2020; Tian et al, 2020). In a significant number of research works, the problem of observer-based control design for nonlinear integer-order systems (Majumder and Patre, 2019, Yu et al, 2020) and nonlinear fractional-order systems has been investigated (Selvaraj et al, 2019; Tian et al, 2020). Furthermore, many practical systems include time delay such as hydraulic systems, chemical processes, and communication channels (Mahmoudabadi et al, 2017; Binazadeh and Yousefi, 2018; Moradi et al, 2019).…”

“…Most of the researches use the powerful optimization tools of the linear matrix (LMI) to ensure and guarantee appropriate conditions for the closed-loop system stability (Zhang and Yang 2018;Wang et al 2019;Zhang et al 2019). Extensive researches have been developed for observerbased decentralized control on the connected systems (Goel and Swarup 2017;Fateh and Fateh 2020;Ranjbar et al 2020;and Yu 2020). Goel and Swarup (2017) state that a robust super-twisting sliding mode controller for a multiinput-multi-output system has been provided.…”

“…Asymptotic tracking performance is adjusted by compensating for the approximate fuzzy errors adaptively. Yu (2020) states that an observer-based decentralized output tracking control problem has been presented for a class of interconnected systems. The stability is guaranteed using the linear matrix inequalities (LMI) approach.…”
