Observed northward shift of large hailstorms in the eastern United States since 2000

Abstract: Given its high population density and degree of urbanization, the eastern United States (US) is a region vulnerable to the impacts from hailstorms. Small changes in hail activity may indicate large impacts on the potential hail risks faced by the region.
